Dr. Yannis Koroneos

Dr. Koroneos earned a B.A. in International Relations at Boston University, concentrating in Middle East Foreign Policy.  After college, he worked as a research technician at the Forsyth Institute in Cambridge, MA where he discovered his love for dentistry through periodontal research.  He subsequently earned his DMD at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

While at Tufts, Dr. Koroneos was elected by his classmates as Class President and represented his class when interfacing with the administration and alumni.  The American College of Dentists awarded him the “Outstanding Student Leader” award in his final year, and he also received an endowed prize for peer support and leadership.

Dr. Koroneos prides himself on clinical practice backed by evidence based dentistry.  He is a member of the Robert Andrews Research Honor Society and was a recipient of the Deans Research Scholarship for all four years while at TUSDM, where he focused on implant survival and complications.  He has presented his work at numerous conferences.  Dr. Koroneos also received the Dr. Harold Berk Endowed Prize Fund for Excellence in Research.

After graduating from Tufts Dr. Koroneos went on to complete a general practice residency at Bellevue Hospital Center, learning advanced dental and surgical procedures in a fast paced hospital setting.

In his free time, Dr. Koroneos is an obsessive cook and loves to be outside - playing basketball or running through Central Park.
